Dining Out is Part of Our Lifestyle

People love to eat out. So much so that the average family now spends almost half of their food budget on dining out. We are a society built around convenience and speed and Americans dining habits reflect this. The increasing growth in the industry is further demonstrated by the rapid growth of to go orders that are now being offered by traditional sit down restaurants.
The restaurant industry is a $558 billion annual industry in the United States., with almost a third of this coming from the fast food and fast casual market where Little Greek operates. With the typical adult visiting a restaurant 5.8 times per week, there is a need for new and enjoyable dining experiences like those offered by Little Greek.
Dining is so deeply ingrained into the American lifestyle that even when disposable income is limited, we still continue to eat out. The difference is where we choose to dine changes. Sit down restaurants tend to be particularly hard hit in tight economic times, as diners “trade down” to more affordable, but equally enjoyable meals that are provided by fast casual dining establishments such as Little Greek.
In fact restaurants who offer something different benefit in tight times. Eating out is no longer something that is taken for granted. Instead it becomes more of a reward where diners are looking for something extra with their dining experience. Little Greek’s menu provides just such an experience by combining our traditional Greek items with American influenced items, to create a broad menu at an affordable price.
